Don't come to me if you just want the easy answer. Come to me if you want the *right* answer! "Some" and "any" are often taught through a common collocation ("some" for statements and "any" for questions and negatives), but that only works about 80% of the time.
To understand "some" and "any" properly, we need to think about the fact that these words *mean* something different.
